In a medium-sized bowl, toss the blackberries with stevia, cinnamon, maple flavoring, nutmeg, cornstarch and salt.
Divide mix into two ovenproof ramekins. Cover with foil and bake in a 350 degree F oven for about 30 minutes or until the mix is bubbling.
Remove from the oven and crumble one grissini on top of each ramekin.
Return to the oven, uncovered for another 5 minutes.
Serve while warm!
Recipe Notes
If you do not have Batko Maple flavoring, use vanilla extract instead Make in bulk and freeze!
*This is based on the Trim Healthy Mama stevia brand that I personally use and linked to in the recipe which is quite concentrated. Stevia potency really varies from brand to brand so you may need to adjust the level of stevia to more or less depending on which one you use.
glucomannan powder – AP What is the reason for this? Is it a flavor?

No it’s actually like a thickener – it’s the same thing that miracle noodles are made out of – if you add just a tiny bit, it will add a little bit of a gelatinous/thickness to it to make it stick together if you like- also makes you feel more full as it’s soluble fiber.

This was so good, I didn’t have the maple or the g powder so I added vanilla extract and 1 tbsp of coconut creamer (has worked for me, could also use milk). It was warm, delicious, and helped me with my menstrual cycle sugar cravings.

Not all fruits are acceptable for consumption while on this diet, but you will have options. Approved fruits include oranges, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, apples, grapefruit, and lemons.
During the maintenance phase you will increase your calorie intake to 1500 calories, making up 3 meals and snacks. It is important that these meals are comprised of healthy foods. You may now consume any meats, eggs, fruits, cheeses, milk, vegetables and low sugar dairy products.
Approved Food List for the HCG Diet. ANY veggie but NO starchy peas, corn, potatoes, or beans. Should take it easy with carrots and beets too. 2 (two) servings of ANY fruits but NO bananas, pineapple or grapes!!!
Lean Proteins: High-quality, lean proteins such as chicken breast, fish, and lean beef are staples in the HCG diet. These protein sources are not only satisfying but also essential for maintaining muscle mass during the calorie-restricted phase.
Increase your caloric intake to 1200 calories daily. Reintroduce fruits such as blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and grapes. Reintroduce small amounts of healthy fats in protein. Include a protein with every meal.
Sweets and desserts are not allowed in the HCG diet plan. High-calorie items like cookies, candies, or cakes could easily contain as many calories as a single HCG meal, so they're omitted entirely.
The food specifically included in the HCG diet include milk, pastries, chocolate, sugar, cream, eggs and bacon, bread and butter together with jam, mayonnaise etc. We advise that you include either of these meals when you are on theprotocol.
Exercise – Moderate Exercise (based on your previous exercise levels) If you aren't losing as you would like stop exercising while on the diet. Increase water intake to 6-8 glasses per day.Try increasing your protein by .5 ounces.
Oddly enough, if you eat over 500 calories/day, or foods not on the diet (i.e. a bite of a donut), you will often have severe hunger. It seems counter-intuitive, but it is important that your fat stores are full when you begin the 500 calorie/day diet, since your body uses these first for energy.
During this stage, the dieter should choose low-calorie foods that also happen to be filling. For example: One five-ounce serving of lean protein like white fish, lean beef, egg white, or crab. Add vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, spinach, beets, radishes, celery, and cauliflower.
On the HCG Diet, you definitely want to be sure that you're getting the recommended 3.5 – 4 ounces of protein per meal. Lowering your protein will make you feel more hungry between meals.
HCG might encourage the production of androgen cells, which could result in the growth of certain types of cancers. However, diets that so severely limit calories have risks, such as gallstone formation, irregular heartbeat, limited intake of vitamins and minerals, and an imbalance of electrolytes.
Don't make your trip to the store fruitless. Dad jokes aside, foods like blueberries provide fiber and antioxidants known to lower blood sugar and inflammation. Similarly, one study found strawberries reduced diabetes complications like kidney disease and nerve damage.
One five-ounce serving of lean protein like white fish, lean beef, egg white, or crab. Add vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, spinach, beets, radishes, celery, and cauliflower.
*Do not eat carbohydrates, that is sugar, rice, bread, potatoes, pastries, cereal, crackers etc. Grissini bread sticks are also a carbohydrate! *More than 4 grams of sugar per serving counts as a sugar. *More than 13 grams of carbohydrate counts as a starch.
