Fallout 76 is an amazing game that allows players to dive deep into Fallout's world with their friends and other players online. Ever since the release of the Fallout TV show, the game has gained a ton of players who are looking for some great items and weapons to keep in the game.

While the game has seen many updates and fixes for weapons that are "broken" (or just completely overpowered in a ridiculous way), quite a few remain that players can find and use. However, it is important to note that many of these weapons aren't really overpowered unless players have the correct Perks and know how to use them. Here's a list of some of the most overpowered weapons that can truly help players out.

There is already a best weapons list, which can help players tremendously. The weapons from that list will not appear on this one, and vice versa. It also fixed an inconsistency with the Enclave Plasma Flamer's best build.

5 Gauss Rifle

An Easily Accessible Overpowered Weapon

The Gauss Rifle is one of those rifles that is absolutely amazing in the right hands. It is capable of one-hitting high-level mobs when using the right build. It is the best gun for the Rifleman Sniper due to Perks like Rifleman, Long Shot, Sturdy Frame, and Tenderizer. It is also one of the easiest to obtain, so it is a great weapon for those starting out. One reason it is so amazing is that it is able to charge bullets and cause AOE damage, which can help a ton when players who are usually snipers are overwhelmed by the enemy.

This is a relatively common gun on the list. It is sold at a low price at the Whitespring Bunker and Watoga Station areas of the game, making it accessible for players wanting to dive into the build and have the best weapon. Additionally, it can be dropped by Deathclaws and Scorchbeasts and is a random reward for completing Events. As with all Event rewards, players will need to finish the Event for the chance of obtaining it.

4 Ultracite Gatling Laser

The Perfect Minigun

The Ultracite Gatling Laser is another extremely powerful weapon, but only in the right hands. Like all others on the list, it can melt through mobs if the player has the right Heavy Gunner build. The Perks Heavy Gunner, Tenderizer, Stabilized, and Bloody Mess can truly make this weapon stand out. While there is one other weapon that is more "broken" in the Heavy Gunner build, this one is still an amazing contender, especially with the Vampire's Legendary Effect, which allows players to regenerate health.

Unfortunately, this is one of those weapons that is extremely difficult to obtain. Players will need to compete in the Events found in the Cranberry Bog region of the game. If they are lucky, the plan for this weapon will drop, and they can use it to craft the overpowered weapon to add to their arsenal.

3 Enclave Plasma Flamer

The Best Plasma Gun

The Enclave Plasma Flamer is one of the best guns for the Rifleman build, and it can annihilate enemies with the right Perks. With Perks like Commando, Expert Commando, Master Commando, Tenderizer and Better Criticals, players will be destroying any enemy that comes their way with this weapon. With the Flamer mod on the weapon, it truly will become unstoppable and ensure that the player can destroy anyone.

There are a few ways that this weapon can be obtained. It can be purchased at the MODUS Production Terminal in the Whitesprings Bunker. Additionally, the Events Dropped Connection and One of Us have decent chances of giving the player the weapon. Finally, if players travel to the Enclave Research Facility, there is a chance that they will find some of the Scorched Enclave Officers carrying the weapon.

2 Holy Fire Flamer

Massive DPS and Health Regeneration

This weapon is an amazing addition to anyone's arsenal in the game. The weapon will not only add amazing damage to an arsenal (especially if players have the right Perks to go along with it), but if the weapon has the Vampire's Legendary Effect, players will obtain a great amount of health regeneration as they melt their enemies away. It is the best option for those playing as a Heavy Gunner since the Perks Stabilized, Gunsmith, and Heavy Gunner can make this weapon more usable. Additionally, it has the Cursed Effect, so it will add 15% damage and 20% speed (with the downside of it breaking quicker).

The Holy Fire is a pretty rare weapon. In fact, to obtain it, players must complete the Beasts of Burden Event, which can sometimes be found within the Sacramental Glade in the region known as Cranberry Bog (though the weapon itself can drop pretty easily from the event). As with all other event rewards, players must complete the event to have a chance of obtaining one. However, if players are willing to sit in the region and wait for the Events, they will eventually get their hands on this amazing weapon.

1 Railway Rifle

Untouchable With The Right Build

The Railway Rifle is, hands down, the best (and most "broken") weapon in the game. It offers players some amazing effects, such as being able to pick up bullets from enemies and staggering enemies. Additionally, the damage on this weapon is out of this world. If players can find the weapon with the Quad Legendary Effects, they will have an even better weapon as they will be able to reload less often. The Commando Perks, Tank Killer, Adrenaline, Bloody Mess, and Better Criticals will make this weapon completely unstoppable.

This weapon is actually pretty easy to obtain, which is amazing for players wanting to add it to their arsenal. The robot vendor, Wallace, sells the plan for it at Berkeley Springs Station. This is by far the easiest way to obtain one, as the plan only costs 1,800 Caps (check out the fastest ways to do this). Additionally, bosses around Appalachia can sometimes drop the weapon, making it something that can be found anywhere.
